IAMCR 2026

This year we were asked to take part in a discussion on non-dominant or minoritised languages in media as part of IAMCR 2026.

As part of this we showcased the Irish translation work we have been doing for our game The Corner Cafe. Truly, it has been a family affair so I was delighted my father Kiaran Moylan was able to take part in the event with me.

The event was organised by Dr. Maria O’Brien and was hosted by Trevor Ó Clochartaigh.

The panel of experts were :

Professor Tarlach McGonagle, Leiden University

Dr Enrique Uribe Jongbloed, Cardiff University

Dr Sorcha de Brun, University of Limerick.

It was a great prvililege to be able to take part in the event and the discussions that took place were fascinating.
